Teachout Security Announces Two Promotions
Just like the Lions’ Football season, excitement is stirring within the Teachout Security World. Changing times and our commitment to “protecting your world” have resulted in our need for promotions and new positions. We are pleased to announce two well-deserved promotions for two of our long-time managers.
Effective October 1, 2023, David Blank, CPP, and Derek Loomis, CPP, PCI, PSP have both been promoted to Director positions within the company.
David Blank is a 35+ year veteran of the contract security industry. In 2004, Teachout became acquainted with David when he sold his company, Advanced Protective Services to Teachout. David later joined the Teachout team and worked in a leadership role from 2005 to 2011. In 2019, David returned to the company as a Senior Branch Manager providing direction, mentoring, and leadership. David holds a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS International. He is extremely knowledgeable, a dedicated professional, and committed to meeting the needs of the customer.
Derek Loomis began his employment with Teachout in 2011 as a Security Officer. He brought with him many years of experience in the energy sector. Derek’s work ethic, knowledge, and honesty soon earned him one promotion after another. In 2015, Derek was promoted to Lansing Branch Manager. Since that time, he has served nearly all our offices in a Branch Manager or mentoring role. Derek is a certified trainer for the American Red Cross. He is also one of three Triple Crown Certification holders in the state of Michigan. He holds a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and a Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification from ASIS International. Derek is also knowledgeable about the ever-changing cyber world.
